On October 3, 2026, itdesign celebrated the tenth anniversary of its office building on Friedrichstraße. Together with their families, employees enjoyed a varied day filled with good food, live music, and plenty of activities for all ages.
itdesign’s home on Friedrichstraße was not always a given. Ten years ago, the company was spread across three locations in Tübingen, which were becoming increasingly cramped. Johannes Koppenhöfer and Jörg Leute even considered relocating closer to Stuttgart Airport. However, in collaboration with Tübingen’s Mayor Boris Palmer and the municipal council, the way was paved for a new building in Tübingen. The decision was ultimately made to bring the company together at a single location on Friedrichstraße.
Since moving in in 2016, the building has been the setting for everyday work as well as numerous events, from Christmas parties to workshops and conferences.
The anniversary celebration featured a varied program. Alongside a buffet, drinks, and a waffle station, younger guests could enjoy face painting, arts and crafts, video game stations, and sumo wrestling. At a specially designed itdesign Challenge, guests solved puzzles, answered quiz questions, and took on various challenges related to the building.
Ten years after itdesign moved in, the office building on Friedrichstraße is more than just the company’s headquarters – it has become an important part of itdesign’s history.
